You can make a difference with a financial contribution.

While the efforts of many people gave this community rail trail life, the need for ongoing fundraising is real. Now that the trail is complete, every financial contribution is applied to trail operations. Without sustainable financial support, trail maintenance and enhancements are jeopardized. Kawartha Trans Canada Trail Association as a not-for-profit organization manages the trail, and they now need your help.

Benefits of supporting the trail are many and vary greatly. The trail offers educational, recreational, and historical values. In turn, those features offer opportunities for learning, enjoyment, and reflection. Its appeal is wide-ranging and far-reaching as a destination attraction for visitors and residents. The Kawartha Trans Canada Trail is a valuable stretch of the world’s longest trail and supports our local economy.

The Kawartha Trans Canada Trail promises to serve our community and welcome visitors for years to come. Please use the trail and support it. Donations will be recognized on our website, with donations of $100 or more recognized on the Fred DeNure Donor Wall at Fleming College. All donations above $20 will receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Thank You!

Donations are recognized based on level of contribution. All donations above $20 will receive a tax-deductible receipt. For donations of $100 or more, the donor's name is placed on the Fred DeNure Donor Wall on the trail at Fleming College. Numerous other forms of honouring donors are possible as they directly relate to special projects or specific fundraising initiatives. Contributions are encouraged.

General financial contributions are needed to meet ongoing operational costs. However, contributions can be made for specific use, including easy-rest benches, bike parks, and information shelters. In-kind donations of products or services are welcome.

Memorials

Provide a memorial donation in remembrance of a loved one or as a legacy for yourself. You can contribute as an individual, family, or business.

Honorariums

User fees are not currently charged for events staged on the trail. We encourage Honorariums in the absence of user fees. Please contact the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail Association if you want to pursue any commercial activity or private fundraising event.
