March 19, 2025 – Partial funding from the Trans Canada Trail national office has been secured for the repairs to Doube’s Bridge. The Association has contacted a contractor who will be attending the site to confirm the repair costs and the time frame required to undertake them. We are hopeful repairs will commence in May 2025. Thank you to all who continue to contribute to the bridge repairs. It is greatly appreciated. We will provide an additional update when the repairs commence and we ask all trail users to not use the bridge at this time.

September 23, 2024 – An engineering firm has been secured to assess the fire damage to the bridge to determine the extent of the structural damage and repair requirements. The representatives were at the site this week and we are expecting a detailed assessment in the coming days. We extend a big thank you to all who have come forward with donations for the repair to this historic landmark and for your words of support. It is greatly appreciated. We will provide additional information as it becomes known!
